Professor Mike Peck Joins the QIB Extra Team

Professor Peck brings with him a wealth of experience of C. botulinum both within academia and industrially focused research. He has contributed to numerous international guidance documents regarding the safety of foods with regards to C. botulinum and published extensively within this area. He has also worked very closely with a wide-range of food categories though extensively within the chilled food arena.

On his appointment Professor Peck said: “I am excited to join QIB Extra and continue to both advise and help industry develop and ensure safe products with regards to C. botulinum.”

Working with Professor Peck is Dr Martin Webb. An experienced microbiologist, he has been involved in C. botulinum research for the past 18 years with the last decade predominantly dedicated to industry focused projects.
