QIB Extra Ltd.’s Quality Policy

QIB Extra Ltd is a 100%-owned subsidiary of the Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB). It operates as an autonomous company as an embedded operation within QIB although with some staff and facilities of its own.

QIB Extra Ltd aims to improve the productivity of its customers and help them to ensure the quality and safety of their products by undertaking applied research projects or consultancies. It also aims to facilitate the interaction of QIB’s scientists with industry and generate income to benefit QIB’s overall scientific capability.

QIB Extra Ltd is responsible for all work within QIB which is directly funded by Industry. This includes all work performed by divisions within QIB Extra:

• National Collection of Yeast Cultures (NCYC)
• Nutritional Information Systems (NIS)

QIB Extra Ltd has chosen to apply ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard to its work. QIB Extra Ltd projects will be compliant with QIB Extra Ltd Quality Management Systems.

The Quality Manual describes the management and activities of QIB Extra Ltd, for reference by its personnel and as a framework for the Quality Management System. All staff working on projects managed by this entity will be required to follow the QA procedures detailed in the Quality Manual.
